SoSA - Real Enough (produced by Beautiful Lou)
by Trill Smith
Although some may think otherwise, I do keep my ear out on the local rap scene. I’ve watched Sosa try and make a name for himself since that first Topic Of Discussion tape (Whatchamacallit still gets spins too). His nimble flow works well over Lou’s production but it shows more potential than anything else. I’m curious as to what these two can make that lasts longer than 3 minutes.
David Banner - Believe Ft. Big K.R.I.T
When Banner was in Melbourne a few weeks ago, he told us he was working with fellow Mississippian Big K.R.I.T. at the spectacular show we were all lucky enough to go to. He was ridiculously friendly and even took a picture of my K.R.I.T. shirt after the gig to tweet to the man himself. I can only hope Krizzle will come here one day in the not so distant future.
Anyway, here’s that collaboration we’ve been waiting for. As to be expected, they work well together and I hope it doesn’t end here. The fun sample is Jodeci from the song Love U 4 Life. DB’s Sex, Drugs and Video Games mixtape is due to be released on the 22/5 and has a shitload of features from Rocky to Wayne, Bun B to Snoop Dogg etc. etc. so probably best get your hands on it when it drops. I’m pretty sure he’ll be releasing stuff every week until then to keep us busy though.
Big K.R.I.T talks about 4eva N A Day
I <3 you so much.
We caught up with Big K.R.I.T. on the release day of his incredible new mixtape 4eva N a Day. He broke down the concept behind the album and its cover, how the project came about and what it felt like to release it. He also talked about the first single, Boobie Miles, and some of his favorite songs on the project. Check out the video below and listen to and download the mixtape here.
Western Tink - Chillin Like A Civilian (2012, MNS)
Mobbin No Sobbin head hancho Western Tink dropped his anticipated mini-mixtape entitled “Chillin Like A Civilian”. Production by Beautiful Lou, as well as features from Green Ova homies Main Attrakionz and Shady Blaze. Mobbin No Sobbin the tape he is doing with Beautiful Lou will be released later this year by Mishka.

Gunplay - Jump Out
Everything about this song is ridiculous. Gunplay in general is ridiculous. His hair doesn’t make any sense. Regardless of these factors, I fucking love this song. It’s over the top in the best way possible. I really hope someone plays it at a party in the near future so I can absolutely lose my shit.
His next release Bogota Rich: The Prequel is due out on the 9th of this month. Get it. Until then, download his mixtape Inglorious Bastard: The Prelude To Valkyrie. Although a year old, it will give you a bit of an insight and there’s some worth while tracks under DJ Fletch’s especially annoying self-promotion (I would suggest trying to find a no DJ version) like Rollin’ feat. Waka Flocka, All On You, Miss Me, 4 Loko etc. etc.
“DJ FLETCH WORLD PAIN/DJ FLETCH, YOU, YEAH YOU, GET OFF HIS DICK/FUCK YOUR WHOLE LIFE, IT’S DJ FLETCH”

With the other contributors back at Uni doing more important things, you’ll probably notice more and more posts from me and less from them. I’ll try my hardest to branch outside of the square I usually post in but I can’t promise anything. This post is hardly going to be anything new.
First off, We$tern Tink has just dropped a new track from his upcoming Chillin Like A Civillian mixtape called “Burrr”. This one’s produced by TrueHappiMess and if it’s not a homage to Gucci Mane, I’m not sure what is. Check out the Iggy look-a-like too…
Even though I’m a couple of weeks late on this one (I don’t know how I missed it) here’s another one from K.R.I.T. It’s called King Pt. 2 and it’s exactly as it suggests, a continuation from where King left off.
Next, a collaboration between the Main Attrakionz boys (Squadda, I’d still like you to father my children please) and cLOUDDEAD pals Jel and Zachg has surfaced, the project called cLOUDLIFE. I think this one is a bit of an acquired taste but because I like to keep everyone up to date with everything M.A. do, I’m posting it anyway. You can stream via Spin before it’s officially released tomorrow.
Interesting to have The Pack return, pretty sure Lil B wasn’t involved in this track despite what other blogs are saying which is unfortunate. It’s pretty low-key and really would have benefitted from his input.
